Types of Contracts

Solidoe offers childcare for children between the ages of 0 and 13. We provide several types of care: day care (full-day care), before-school, after-school and holiday care, and preschool care (half-day care). Below you can read more about the different contract types for each form of care.

Day Care (Full-Day Care)

Solidoe preferably offers care for young children (ages 0–4) for a minimum of two days per week. When a child attends multiple days per week, it’s usually easier for them to settle in, and the daily structure becomes familiar and clear, which benefits the child’s well-being. Your baby is very welcome at one of our day care centres in Aalsmeer, Kudelstaart, or Uithoorn. Each location is unique, but they all have one thing in common: they are warm and safe environments. We create a cosy and positive group atmosphere where your child can feel secure. From that sense of safety, your baby has the opportunity to develop at their own pace.

You can choose up to two locations when registering. Within the day care, we offer one type of contract: the 52-week contract. This provides care in all weeks* of the year. Standard opening hours are 07:30 – 18:30.

At the locations Triade, de Berenboot, ’t Duet, and de Legmeer, you can choose from the following opening hours:

  • 07:30 – 18:30 (standard option)
  • 07:00 – 18:00
  • 07:00 – 18:30

* Except on national public holidays and the Friday after Ascension Day.

Out-of-School Care (BSO)

Does your child attend primary school? Then your child can come to the out-of-school care one or more afternoons per week and/or during school holidays. Solidoe’s out-of-school care, known as BSO, is open outside school hours. After school, on school study or roster free days, and during school holidays, children aged 4 to 13 are welcome at the BSO, and at many locations, also before school. Solidoe has several unique out-of-school care locations throughout Aalsmeer, Kudelstaart, Uithoorn, and De Kwakel. You must register separately for out-of-school care, even if your child already attends one of our day care centres.

Out-of-school care is offered per school basis. The school your child attends determines which BSO location(s) you can register for.

This allows us to provide neighbourhood-based care, ensuring your child will always meet familiar classmates or neighbourhood friends at the BSO location.

Solidoe offers 3 types of BSO contracts:

  • 52-week contract: care during school weeks from the end of the school day until 18:30, and during holiday weeks and study days from 08:15 to 18:30.
  • 40-week contract: care during school weeks from the end of the school day until 18:30, and on study days from 08:15 to 18:30.
  • 12-week contract: care during holiday weeks from 08:15 to 18:30.

For before-school care (VSO) there are 2 contract types:

  • 52-week contract: care during school weeks from 07:00 or 07:30* until school starts, and during holidays and study days from 07:00 or 07:30 until 08:15.
  • 40-week contract: care during school weeks from 07:00 or 07:30* until school starts, and on study days from 07:00 or 07:30 until 08:15.

* The start time is fixed (but varies) per BSO location.
** The 52-week VSO contract is only available in combination with a 52-week BSO contract on the same day.
*** For the 40-week VSO, a study day can only be booked if a 40-week BSO contract is also taken for that day.

Toddler care (Half-Day Care)

Do you not need full-day care or do you not work, but want your child to interact with other toddlers? Then half-day preschool care may be sufficient; we offer two types:

Toddler care under the law (WK): if you are entitled to childcare allowance because you work or study, your child can attend preschool in the mornings from the age of 2 (if a place is available). We call this form of care under the law and is eligible for childcare allowance from the Tax Authorities.

Toddler care Subsidized Contract (GE): for parents who are not entitled to childcare allowance (e.g. because one parent does not work), a subsidized place can be arranged (if a place is available). This is partially funded by the municipality, and you pay a small personal contribution based on your monthly income. This form of care is available for children from 2.5 years old.

WK or GE Contract combined with VVE: if children need extra support in language, motor skills, or social-emotional development, a VVE declaration can be obtained through the child health clinic (VVE = early childhood education program). VVE programs provide additional play-based learning opportunities. Our staff are trained to offer this extra support.
Children with a VVE indication attend, in addition to the standard 2 mornings, 2 extra mornings. Of the 4 total mornings, 2 are paid for by the municipality, and the other 2 are either partially subsidized (depending on income) or eligible for childcare allowance. This type of care is available for children from 2.5 years old.

We offer preschool care for 2 mornings per week during the 40 school weeks per year in the municipalities of Uithoorn/De Kwakel and Aalsmeer/Kudelstaart. The preschool is closed during the 12 school holiday weeks.
