Preschool childcare

Children from the age of 2 are welcome at Solidoe's toddler care, preschool, or daycare In this place, playing and learning go hand in hand.

Play and discover

Toddlers have an insatiable curiosity, eager to explore everything around them. From their environment to what they see, hear, and, most of all, each other. At the age of 2, children are especially intrigued by their peers. Making the toddler care center the ideal place for them to interact with other children. Solidoe offers toddler care branches in Aalsmeer, Uithoorn, Kudelstaart, and De Kwakel.

Children in toddler care learn the art of social interaction and group dynamics through play. Fostering the growth of friendships. This takes place within the secure and familiar environment created by our dedicated pedagogical staff. Here, we encourage children to embark on exciting adventures, unleash their creativity and push their limits, as it is through these experiences that they learn the most.

Toddler Care for half days

If you do not need full‑day childcare or you don’t  work and would still like your child to interact with other toddlers, then half‑day toddler care is sufficient. For this, we offer three options during 40 school weeks per year.

  • Suitable for children from 2 years old.
  • Children attend 2 mornings per week.

    Toddler care with municipal funding
  • For parents who are not eligible for childcare allowance.
  • The municipality subsidises part of the costs; parents pay an income‑dependent contribution.
  • For children from 2.5 years old.
  • Children attend 2 mornings per week.
  • If your work or income situation changes, this must be reported.

Toddler care with early childhood education (VVE)
  • For children aged 2.5 and older who have an VVE indication from the child health clinic (consultation bureau/JGZ).
  • Focused on providing extra support in language, motor skills, or social‑emotional development.

  • The aim of VVE is to give children the best possible start in primary school.

Fostering a Language-Rich Environment, Even in Childcare

Creating a language-rich environment has a positive impact on the language development of babies and toddlers, whether at home or in childcare. Reading aloud is an essential part of promoting language development as it stimulates imagination, fosters language comprehension, and, above all, it’s great fun! Research has shown that young children who are regularly read to have a larger vocabulary and are less likely to experience language delays. To learn more, watch this informative video and get inspired. We have a long-standing collaboration with Bieb Amstelland to promote the joy of reading and, consequently, language development.
