Healthy Childcare
Children and young people lay an important foundation for their future (un)health during their youth. By encouraging healthy behavior, some health problems in adulthood can be prevented or postponed, even in childhood. In addition to the benefits for children, attention to health and a healthy lifestyle also provides benefits for parents, employees, childcare organizations and society
The aim of the Healthy Childcare working group is therefore to sharpen Solidoe’s vision on a number of themes surrounding health. This gives the locations (more) tools for implementing the policy. The following themes belong to Healthy Childcare: nutrition and exercise, greenery, social-emotional development, daily rhythm, media education, sexual development, hygiene, safety and sun protection.
Healthy food:
To determine the nutrition policy , Solidoe started a Healthy Childcare working group in 2018. All employees were included in the process of raising awareness of healthy nutrition through training in the team. This new nutritional policy was developed based on input from the groups, advice from the Nutrition Center and consultation with a dietician. This nutritional policy gives both parents and employees clarity about what we offer the children. We see nutrition policy as a dynamic document that can change through new insights and research. We think it is extremely important that we introduce children to a healthy lifestyle from an early age so that they can be prevented from becoming overweight later in life.

Request tour
Would you like to step inside, meet our employees, and get a feel for the atmosphere? You can! We would be happy to give you a tour of our location.
However, we can only schedule a date for this once we have actual space available at our location. This way we avoid disappointment. Currently, we have waitlists for (almost) all of our locations and there are no openings available. Therefore, we recommend registering your child first so that you can be added to the waitlist.
Procedure
As a childcare organization, we constantly consider our role in the education of the children entrusted to us.
Our mission
'Everyone has room for their own growth'
Our vision
Solidoe wants to transform childcare and education into one challenging and modern (development) environment for the child.
